Week 2’s treasure hunt is over.

One of our team lives close to the hiding place, so decided to check it tonight to see if anyone had taken the gift.

It was gone.

Not the gift.

The hiding place.

We had originally chosen a bench in Middle Park, not far from the 130 tram stop for the 96 tram. Unfortunately, our sticky tape wouldn’t stick to the underside of the bench without needing to be wrapped around it (which looked very obvious), and there was a tree just beside the bench. The tree had a convenient spot where we could slide the gift between the branches and the trunk, and then scatter a few leaves over it to hide it from casual discovery.

Unfortunately, unbeknownst to us, the tree was scheduled for removal.

This being the case, we hope one of the Parks Victoria people found the Coles gift card, and gave themselves a treat.

A new gift will be hidden on Monday, and a new set of clues posted. We will shortly post the summary of all the clues for this week.
